Trust Snippets w/e 4th October

Weekly SCT Updates are as follows:

• Local businesses Ardvasar Hair & Beauty and McGillivray Plumbing & Heating have been awarded funding from the Tormore Enterprise Fund to develop new ideas for their businesses.
• Carol Currie & Serena Smart are holding a second-hand sale in ‘Aite’  - the Trust’s rentable retail space at Armadale Post Office & Filling Station – on Monday 7th October between 9am and 5:30pm (closed for lunch 1-2pm). See local noticeboards for more details.CANCELLED.
• Tender deadlines for the Trust’s Wireless Broadband project and Local Housing Needs survey will be reached on Friday 11th October.
• Ground preparation work for winter tree planting has now finished in Tormore forest. 30,000 trees are now being ordered to achieve this.
• General Manager Angus Robertson is half-way through his ‘local shops & co-ops’ tour in the USA and continues to blog at http://andorasdearg.wordpress.com/
• The Trust AGM is on October 30th at Seòmar Cruinneachaidh, Sabhal Mor Ostaig at 7pm. A light buffet and drinks will be served after formal proceedings.
• There are vacancies for two directors on the main SCT board. If you are interested in applying contact the SCT office on 01471 844773 or office@sleat.org.uk or just pop-in when you’re passing.
• There will be no SCT update next week on account of staff switching to parental duties over the school holidays
